Ireland will square off against India in the third and final T20I of the three-match series on Wednesday, August 23. The match is scheduled to take place at The Village Cricket Ground in Dublin and will be a dead rubber as India won the opening two games and leads the series (2-0).

India won the second T20I leg by 33 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad shined for the Men in Blue in their win, hammering 58 runs off 43 balls. Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh also contributed quickfire 40 and 38 runs in India’s victory. On the other hand, Andrew Balbirnie was the standout performer for Ireland. He smashed brilliant 72 runs off 51 deliveries but failed to get his team across the line.

India will look to main their dominance over the Irish team by whitewashing them. Meanwhile, Ireland will be determined to avoid the clean sweep against the touring party.

The Village cricket ground in Dublin is famous for offering a versatile cricket pitch suitable for both batters and bowlers. The track at the venue generally favours fast bowlers during the initial phases of the game as they find an extra moment with swinging conditions. However, batters can amass significant runs by spending considerable time on the pitch. Conversely, spinners might face challenges when playing at this location.
