Galle Titans (GT) will take on B-Love Kandy (BLK) in Qualifier 2 of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday (August 19). GT suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Dambulla Aura (DA) in Qualifier 1, while BLK are coming from a comprehensive 61-run victory over Jaffna Kings (JK) in the Eliminator.
Lasith Croospulle was the standout performer for the Galle-based side in their match against DA. Croospulle hammered brilliant 80 runs off 61 balls for his team in the contest. However, his efforts went in vain as GT bowlers failed to defend the set target. On the other hand, Wanindu Hasaranga shined for BLK in their encounter against JK. Hasaranga claimed a brilliant six-fer in the match to dismantle the Jaffna-based side’s line-up in the contest.
Both GT and BLK will look to book a spot in the summit clash of the LPL 2023.

- Date and Time: August 19, 07:30 IST/ 02:00 pm GMT/ 07:30 pm local
- Venue: R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo
Premadasa Stadium Pitch Report:
As the match unfolds at Colombo’s R Premadasa Stadium, the pitch tends to decelerate, becoming more favourable for spin bowlers. Nonetheless, batters can amass substantial runs by occupying the crease for an extended duration. Hence, the team that wins the coin toss would likely opt to bat first on this ground.
