Mumbai Indians draw parallels between Team India’s World Cup campaign and Chandrayaan-3
Among all, the Mumbai Indians (MI) franchise of Indian Premier League (IPL) also took to Twitter to express their elation over the achievement by sharing an image that drew a comparison between ISRO’s perseverance after the 2019 Chandrayaan 2 setback and Team India’s 2019 World Cup journey, indicating Team India’s hopeful comeback in the 2023 World Cup.
It is worth mentioning that India were eliminated from the ODI World Cup 2019 in the semi-final of the event after suffering a defeat at the hand of New Zealand.

Mumbai Indians’ viral post stirs up discussions across social media
Although the creative analogy by MI aimed to evoke a sense of resilience by drawing parallels between two distinct yet inspiring narratives, the post sparked a debate among netizens and left the fans divided.
While some embraced the comparison as a symbol of India’s indomitable spirit and the upcoming World Cup’s potential success, others were not as enthused. Critics argued that juxtaposing a scientific milestone with a sports event seemed inappropriate and might undermine the dedicated efforts of India’s scientists.
Here’s how Twitter reacted:

Yet another day and this admin and found a way to demean such huge achievement of India by comparing it to Rohit Sharma. Reason they aren't official page of MI but PR of Rohit.

This tweet is utter disrespect to ISRO. How can someone go to such low instead of celebrating chandrayaan mission they are trying to somehow attach this to their franchise captain.
Its not Rohit who is going to play wc, Its team India who will play wc. So stop this clownery. https://t.co/7GWzIgASz9— Saurav (@saurav_viratian) August 23, 2023
Good Tweet. Hope God and team India won't disappoint like our Chadrayaan mission 🤞 https://t.co/BmO8T2ciX8
