Pakistan’s star all-rounder Shadab Khan is currently in red-hot form with both bat and the ball. Shadab had a great outing for the Green Team in the recently concluded three-match ODI series and is now gearing up for the upcoming Asia Cup.

The Asia Cup 2023 will commence from August 30 and will be co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, with the Babar Azam-led side starting their campaign against Nepal in the tournament opener. However, the hype among fans still remains the much anticipated India-Pakistan clash on September 2.

It is worth mentioning that both teams have unveiled their squad for the continental event and are sweating hard to prepare for the important challenge. As the day of the India-Pakistan clash comes closer, the tensions are not just flaring up between cricket enthusiasts but also in the team camps as India’s chief selector Ajit Agarkar and Pakistan star player Shadab recently found themselves caught up in a drama before the battle.

Ajit Agarkar’s savage remark over handling Pakistan’s lethal pace battery

Agarkar had recently made a statement regarding tackling Pakistan bowlers in the Asia Cup 2023, which hasn’t gone down well with Shadab as he has now come up with a blunt response to the former India cricketer’s remark.

During the squad announcement of the Indian team for Asia Cup 2023, Agarkar was asked how the Indian side would handle Pakistan’s lethal pace battery on September 2. The Chief Selector savagely replied, “Kohli will take care of them.”

Shadab has now responded to Agarkar after the conclusion of the ODI series against Afghanistan. The 24-year-old said that no one knows what the match will bring, and one can’t really predict anything.

“It depends on a particular day, probably. Now, someone from India or me can make any claim, but those are just words. Anybody can say anything and that doesn’t change or affect anything. When we will have the match, then we might see what goes on,” said Shadab during the post-match presentation of the third ODI against Afghanistan.
