Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) made a significant announcement on Wednesday, unveiling the women’s squad that will represent the country in the upcoming multi-format tour of England. The tour, scheduled to commence on August 31, will witness the Sri Lankan team embarking on their journey on August 23. The tour itinerary encompasses a thrilling lineup of three T20I Internationals (T20Is) along with an equal number of One-Day Internationals (ODIs).

As the team prepares to face the challenges posed by English conditions, Chamari Athapaththu will continue to lead the Sri Lankan side, bringing her experience and leadership to the forefront. Assisting her in this pivotal role will be Oshadi Ranasinghe, who will serve as the vice-captain, contributing her skills and insights to the team’s strategies.

Mixture of experience and youth in the squad

The Sri Lanka Women’s squad for the much-anticipated tour of England features a blend of seasoned players and promising talents, poised to make a significant impact on the international stage.
