Rishabh Pant visits Team India’s Asia Cup training camp in Alur
Amidst the rigorous training of Indian players, a heartwarming re-union took place in Alur after Pant made a surprise visit to the camp. The Uttarakhand batter’s appearance was the first instance after his car accident when he had an on-field interaction with his Indian teammates.
It is to be noted Pant met with an unfortunate car accident last year in December and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The left-handed batter travelled all the way to Alur to spend some quality time with his fellow teammates ahead of their departure to Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to its official social media handles to share the heartwarming video of Pant’s interaction with the team. The clip quickly went viral on the internet, eliciting an outpouring of joy from fans.
In the video, Pant can be seen engaging in cheerful conversations with teammates like Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, coach Rahul Dravid and others, sharing anecdotes and hearty laughs.

As far as Pant’s fitness is concerned, the 25-year-old recovery journey following the car accident has been marked by sheer hard work and dedication. Pant seems much fitter and is consistently working to regain full fitness. Although Pant missed several crucial matches for the Indian team in the past seven months and might also not be able to play in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, his relentless efforts and positive attitude promise a speedy recovery of the wicketkeeper-batter.
