The much-anticipated riveting players’ auction for the second edition of SA20 took place in Johannesburg on Wednesday (September 27). The event added to the already existing excitement surrounding the upcoming T20 cricket extravaganza as some of the biggest names in the sport were snapped up by the six participating teams during the bidding process.

It is worth mentioning that the second season of SA20 will start from January 10, 2024, with Joburg Super Kings (JSK) scheduled to take on defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SEC) in the tournament opener.

Dayyan Galiem’s record-breaking deal

Galiem’s prowess as an all-rounder and his recent exploits on the cricketing circuit made him a highly sought-after asset.
