India’s emerging batting sensation, Shubman Gill, is steadily closing the gap with the top-ranked batter, Babar Azam, in the ICC ODI Rankings. Gill has accumulated 814 rating points, positioning him as a strong contender. Pakistan’s captain Babar continues to hold the top spot with 857 points, despite a somewhat uneven performance in the recently concluded continental cup. Heinrich Klaasen’s remarkable ascent
South African batter Heinrich Klaasen has made remarkable strides in the batting rankings following his outstanding 174-run innings against Australia in the fourth ODI. Klaasen has leaped an impressive 20 places to secure the ninth position in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings. Additionally, Dawid Malan, the top run-scorer in the ODI series against England, has achieved a career-best 13th place in the ODI Rankings with an impressive average of 92.33.
Dominance in all-rounder rankings
In the all-rounder rankings, Shakib ul Hasan of Bangladesh continues to maintain his supremacy with 371 points, closely followed by Mohammad Nabi in the second position and Sikandar Raza in the third. Among Indian all-rounders, Hardik Pandya remains a prominent figure in the top 10, advancing one place to secure the sixth position.
