The board said that the spinner had strained his right hamstring while fielding during the intense Super 4 clash against Pakistan and the same was confirmed during the scans on Friday.
Theekshana’s absence will be a big blow to Sri Lanka as he has been the highest wicket-taker for his side in the ODIs this year, boasting an impressive tally of 31 wickets in just 15 matches at an average of 17.45.
