Cricket fans around the globe are gearing up for the much-anticipated ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which is set to commence on October 5. This year marks the 13th edition of the ODI World Cup, with the tournament promising a thrilling showcase of cricketing talent and fierce competition.
The tournament’s opening game will see the 2019 World Cup finalists, England and New Zealand, locking horns with each other. This eagerly awaited clash will take place at the spectacular Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, setting the stage for an enthralling start to the competition.
A total of 10 teams will be participating in this year’s World Cup. It’s worth noting that this edition will be the first instance of the tournament being played without the presence of inaugural champions West Indies, who failed to qualify for the marquee event.
Over the course of the 2023 ODI World Cup, cricket enthusiasts can look forward to 48 matches that will be spread across 10 venues in India. These venues will serve as the battlegrounds for thrilling encounters, showcasing the cricketing prowess of teams from around the world.
As the tournament progresses, the anticipation and excitement are expected to reach a crescendo, leading up to the grand finale. The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will culminate with the final match, scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 19.
