Shreyanka Patil’s Memorable Delivery
However, the defining moment of the match occurred in the 7th over when Indian star Shreyanka Patil, representing the Guyana Amazon Warriors, delivered an exceptional ball. Patil approached the crease from over the wicket and released a fullish delivery that sharply nipped back in.
Matthews, who had been anchoring the Royals’ innings with confidence, attempted a late square cut to send the ball to the boundary. But the ball deviated significantly, leaving her stunned as it dislodged the stumps. Her dismissal turned out to be a pivotal moment in the match.
