After inflicting a crushing defeat on Bangladesh in the first Super Four game of the Asia Cup 2023 at Lahore, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam showed great confidence on facing their bitter rivals India in the upcoming match.
Haris Rauf bowled a phenomenal spell of 4/19 and played a key role in dismantling the batting order of Bangladesh, bundling them on a mere total of 193. He was awarded ‘Man of the Match’ for his glorious performance.
In the post-match presentation, Babar said that their side is ready for the big game against India.
‘We are always ready for a big match’
Babar praised Shaheen Afridi and Rauf, who performed remarkably with the ball against Bangladesh. He further mentioned that this win will surely raise their confidence, and they are always ready for the big game.
“Too much heat, but full credit to the fast bowlers. First Shaheen and then Haris Rauf. We planned on picking Faheem because we saw the pitches here, there was grass on it, and we like that also. Always when we play here, the crowd supports us and I hope all of them enjoyed this match. (On playing India) This win will give us confidence, we are always ready for a big match. We will give our 100% in the next match,” he stated.
