Hosts Namibia clinched a crucial victory over Zimbabwe, registering a win by 7 wickets in the fourth game of the five-match series.

Zimbabwe Innings

After winning the toss at the Wanderers Cricket Ground, Zimbabwe elected to bat first and set a target of 153/6 in their 20 overs. Craig Ervine‘s resilient 54 off 43 deliveries bolstered their innings, supported by a contribution of 32 runs from Tinashe Kamunhukamwe.

For Namibia, Gerhard Erasmus and Handre Klazinge picked up two wickets each.

In response, Namibia displayed a strong batting performance, led by Michael van Lingen‘s explosive 47 runs off 27 balls, including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Nikolaas Davin (34), Jan Frylinck (29) and Erasmus (31) contributed significantly, guiding their team to a successful chase with 8 balls to spare.

Player of the Match

The Player of the Match title was awarded to Gerhard Erasmus for his all-round performance, which included a crucial knock of 31 runs with the bat and impressive bowling figures of 2 for 21 in 4 overs.

With this victory, the series now stands at 2-2, as both teams have won two matches each. The final encounter between the two teams is scheduled for Monday, October 30, at the same venue.
