The Perth Scorchers Women triumphed over the Hobart Hurricanes Women in a high-octane battle at the iconic W.A.C.A. Ground on Wednesday.

Opting to bat first in the 10th Match of the Women’s Big Bash League 2023, the Hobart Hurricanes posted a competitive total of 158/10 in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Elyse Villani was the standout performer for the Hurricanes, with a blistering 39 off 26 deliveries.

Naomi Stalenberg‘s explosive 54 off 29 balls added valuable runs to the total.

Chloe Ainsworth led the Scorchers’ bowling attack, claiming three crucial wickets for 25 runs.

In response, the Perth Scorchers chased down the target with finesse, reaching 161/3 in 18.3 overs. Beth Mooney led the charge with an impressive 52 off 33 balls, supported by Maddy Darke‘s well-constructed 45. The Scorchers’ top order exhibited brilliant batting skills, ensuring a comfortable victory.
