The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India has not just been a treat to watch for the fans with some interesting matches, but the players are also enjoying their time in the subcontinent by exploring its rich cultural heritage and trying diverse cuisines.

Amidst all the excitement and cricket action, England’s dynamic all-rounder Ben Stokes recently shared a scary experience he had while enjoying his time in India. It is worth mentioning that Stokes is a vital member of England’s ODI World Cup 2023 squad.

Ben Stokes and Liam Livingstone’s Indian adventure

In a candid chat on ‘The Athlete’s Voice’ by 4CAST, Stokes took the fans on a rollercoaster ride of emotions as he recounted his unforgettable encounter with India’s iconic auto-rickshaw, often affectionately referred to as a ‘tuk-tuk.’ The star all-rounder even posted the video of him narrating this adventure on his official Instagram handle, which quickly went viral, leaving fans both amused and entertained.

In the viral video clip, Stokes humorously explains how he, his fellow teammate Liam Livingstone, and their strength and conditioning coach, Andy Mitchell, embarked on an Indian tuk-tuk adventure that turned out to be a scary ride for them more than fun.

Stokes’ reveals the scary side of Tuk-Tuk journey

As Stokes recounted their hilarious escapade, he even highlighted how their high and rigid physical appearances were not a perfect fit for the compact auto-rickshaws. The 32-year-old further also went on to emphasize that the tuk-tuks in India have become remarkably small, which only added to the absurdity of their journey.

“So, me and Livi (Liam Livingstone) are pretty big lads, and we also had our strength and conditioning coach, Mitch (Andy Mitchell), who is even bigger than us. Now, tuk-tuk’s aren’t very big. So, you can imagine that we were pretty squashed in the back of his tuk-tuk,” Stokes chuckled.

He then showed the video from his phone to the camera, providing an amusing visual to accompany his story and added: “We were just running up to the roundabout here. Does not slow down and, yeah, there he goes.”
