India took on Pakistan in the 12th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on Saturday, October 14. India won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Pakistan Innings: 191/10 (42.5 Overs)

The Pakistan innings got off to a decent start with Abdullah Shafique and Imam ul Haq providing a solid foundation. After their departure, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan also played crucial knocks, both scoring half-centuries.

However, no other batter could stand in front of the fiery Indian bowling line up. Pakistan could manage just 191 runs in 42.5 overs, with Babar top-scoring with 50 runs off 58 balls.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja picked two wickets each.

India Innings: 192/3 (30.3 Overs)

In response, India chased down the target comfortably with 19.3 overs to spare. Rohit Sharma played a blistering knock, scoring 86 runs off 63 balls. Shreyas Iyer also contributed with a well-crafted half-century, scoring unbeaten 53 runs. India secured the victory with 7 wickets in hand.

Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan, taking 2 wickets, while Hasan Ali also managed to pick up 1 wicket. However, their efforts were not enough to prevent India from clinching the win.
