The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has brought a wave of disappointments for the Pakistan cricket team, suffering consecutive significant defeats that have ignited a storm of criticism and scrutiny. In their last two matches, Pakistan faced embarrassing defeats, with India registering a commanding 7-wicket victory followed by the Aussies defeating Babar Azam & Co. by 62 runs.

Sehar Shinwari loses her cool at Pakistan cricket team

The team’s recent dismal performance has sparked a blunt reaction from Pakistani actress Sehar Shinwari, who took to social media to express her frustration.

In a tweet, Shinwari declared her intention to lead street protests across Pakistan, demanding the immediate resignation of the entire cricket team. She emphasized the need for accountability and change within the team following their subpar display in the tournament.

“We will protest on every streets of Pakistan until Babar Azam along with whole cricket team resigns,” tweeted Shinwari.

In another post, Shinwari accused Pakistan team of manipulating their fan base with religious and political rhetoric, highlighting their apparent failure to deliver strong performances on the field.

“Pakistani cricket team only knows how to fool their fan by making religious or political statements. Performance is not their cup of tea,” she added.

Pressure mounting on Babar Azam & Co.

As Babar and his men grapple with their ranking in the tournament, currently positioned at fifth place in the points table with two wins out of four matches, all eyes are on their upcoming match against Afghanistan at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Monday, October 23. The pressure is mounting as both fans and critics eagerly anticipate the Green team’s response to the recent outcry and their ability to regain their footing in the World Cup competition.
