In an electrifying match at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India showcased an exceptional performance with both ball and bat against Pakistan.
Opting to bowl first on a pitch with slow and variable bounce, India initially found themselves on the back foot as Pakistan seemed to be cruising at 155-2, with captain Babar Azam completing his half-century and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan closing in on his own milestone. However, Azam’s dismissal, courtesy of Mohammed Siraj, triggered a dramatic batting collapse for Pakistan. They lost eight wickets for a mere 36 runs, ultimately posting a total of 191 on the scoreboard in 42.5 overs.
