The incident took place third delivery of fourth over, when pacer Mohammed Siraj swung in the ball sharply onto the pads of Conway. The left-handed batter attempted a flick but couldn’t keep the ball grounded. Iyer, stationed at forward square leg, exhibited remarkable reflexes in a breathtaking display of fielding prowess. He dove full-length to his right with sheer determination, grasping the ball with outstanding precision. The catch left the crowd in awe and fired up the entire team, with Siraj and his teammates celebrating this pivotal wicket. Unfortunately for Conway, his departure occurred without him managing to trouble the scorers.

Meanwhile, after losing their openers early in the game, New Zealand regained control, thanks to a strong partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway.
As of now, the Black Caps have steadily progressed to a score of 172 for the loss of two wickets in 33 overs.
Notably, both New Zealand and India are undefeated in the ongoing ICC tournament, setting the stage for an intense and high-stakes clash. India have roped in Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav in their playing XI in place of Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya, respectively.
