The innings was highlighted by explosive knocks from Yashasvi Jaiswal (53 off 25) and Ishan Kishan (52 off 32). Ruturaj Gaikwad‘s steady contribution (58 off 43) and Rinku Singh‘s quickfire 31 runs off 9 balls further added to the formidable total.

Australia faced a daunting target but fought hard in their pursuit. However, India’s bowlers emerged as a formidable force. Despite Marcus Stoinis‘ powerful 45 off 25, Prasidh Krishna (3 wickets), Ravi Bishnoi (3 wickets) and Arshdeep Singh (1 wicket) kept the pressure on, ultimately restricting Australia to 191/9.

Following India’s convincing victory, Aakash took to social media to express his admiration for India’s young star Yashasvi Jaiswal and heaped praises on him for his exceptional batting quality. The cricketer turned commentator even went on to hail him as the most exciting batting talent in the country.
“Yashasvi is a star. The most exciting batting talent in the country. May he continue to bat with the same freedom and fearlessness. And I hope Indian cricket is willing to accommodate an occasional poor run in T20s, for that’s the nature of the beast,” wrote Aakash Chopra in his post after India’s victory.
