In a thrilling encounter at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, the second ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh Women and Pakistan Women ended in a dramatic tie, leading to a Super Over.

Bangladesh Innings

After electing to bat first, Bangladesh managed to post a total of 169 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Nigar Sultana‘s resilient half-century was the cornerstone of the innings.

The Pakistan bowlers put up an impressive display, with Sadia Iqbal and Nashra Sandhu claiming two wickets each.

Chasing 170 for victory, Pakistan mirrored Bangladesh’s score as they were bundled out for 169 runs in 49.5 overs. Sadaf Shamas was the top scorer for Pakistan Women, but the team fell short of the target by a solitary run.

Super Over

In the Super Over, Bangladesh held their nerves to secure a thrilling victory by 1 wicket.

Rabeya Khan‘s remarkable bowling performance played a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s successful defense of their total.

With this result, the series remains evenly poised with one win each for both teams. The third match of the series is scheduled at the same venue for Friday, November 10.

The Player of the Match award was given to Bangladesh skipper Nigar Sultana for her brilliant batting display.
