As India take on Australia in the grand finale of the ODI World Cup 2023, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the list of elite commentators panel for the marquee clash.
The familiar foes will conclude their World Cup campaign like they started it, against each other, and none of the 130,000-odd seats at the Narendra Modi Stadium will be empty on Sunday, November 19.
The hosts, India, have maintained an undefeated streak with 10 wins out of 10 heading into the much-awaited game.
Meanwhile, Australia’s journey to the CWC 2023 final took a turn as they initially lost their first two games with a big margin. However, the five-times champion came back strongly, embarking on a dominating unbeaten run that propelled them to the final.
Elite commentary panel for CWC 2023 final
In anticipation of the highly awaited title clash, the ICC has revealed the star-studded commentary panel, featuring prominent voices such as Ravi Shastri and Harsha Bhogle, alongside former cricketers Nasser Hussain and Ricky Ponting.
Ravi Shastri, a familiar presence in significant cricketing moments, was on commentary duty during India’s last World Cup victory at home in 2011. His iconic lines, “Dhoni finishes off in style, India lift the World Cup after 28 years,” have become etched in the annals of history. Shastri witnessed the then India captain MS Dhoni’s memorable six over long-on against Sri Lanka, sealing a monumental World Cup win after nearly three decades.
