The return of Hardik Pandya to the Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2024 has set the cricketing world abuzz. After a tumultuous trading period and swirling rumours, Mumbai have successfully secured the services of Hardik, marking a significant homecoming for the stalwart player. Hardik, who left the Mumbai-based franchise in IPL 2022 and assumed the role of captain for the Gujarat Titans, demonstrated exceptional leadership by guiding them to a triumphant title win in their inaugural IPL season.

On Monday, MI team’s owners, Nita Ambani and Akash Ambani, expressed their happiness by welcoming Hardik back to the family. The inclusion of the Baroda all-rounder is expected to bring a renewed vigour to the five-time IPL champions, adding depth to both their batting and bowling departments.

Nita Ambani’s special message for Hardik Pandya

Nita expressed joy and excitement in welcoming Hardik back to the Mumbai. She highlighted the remarkable journey of the Baroda-born cricketer, initially scouted as a young talent by their management and now established as a star in the Indian cricket team.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hardik back home! It’s a heartwarming reunion with our Mumbai Indians family! Akash Ambani opens up on Hardik Pandya’s homecoming

Akash shared his happiness at having Hardik back with the side, referring to it as a major homecoming. Acknowledging the 30-year-old’s ability to bring excellent balance to any team, Akash further recalled the success of Hardik’s initial stint with Mumbai and conveyed hopes for even greater achievements in his second stint with the team.

“Seeing Hardik back at Mumbai Indians makes me very happy. It is a happy homecoming. He provides great balance to any team he plays. Hardik’s first stint with the MI family was hugely successful, and we hope he achieves even more success in his second stint,” said Akash.
