With the auction scheduled to take place in Dubai next month, franchises have been working diligently to shape their squads for the upcoming season. The final day for retention decisions, November 26, saw significant player movements and some high-profile releases.

Trading highlights in the lead-up to retention deadline

In the days leading up to the retention deadline, several teams engaged in player trades, making strategic moves to bolster their line-ups. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) initiated the trading window by sending Romario Shepherd to Mumbai Indians (MI) and securing the services of Devdutt Padikkal from Rajasthan Royals (RR) in exchange for their pacer Avesh Khan. Another notable trade involved Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) trading all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in return for Mayank Dagar.
