During a discussion with ESPNcricinfo, Hayden unveiled the name of the key player who he believes will play a pivotal role in India’s potential title-clinching victory. The Aussie veteran cricketer’s pick came after India’s resounding win over Sri Lanka, and he named spinner Kuldeep Yadav as the player who he thinks will guide India to clinch the ODI World Cup 2023 title. Hayden even visualized this victory taking place in Ahmedabad.

“I can close my eyes and see Kuldeep Yadav bowling India to a World Cup victory in Ahmedabad. He didn’t even get a gig tonight (against Sri Lanka). Jadeja wasn’t needed either. At the moment, there are just open wounds everywhere for this team, and they’ve got a point to prove,” said Hayden.
