Whether it’s the breathtaking backdrop of the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala or the electric atmosphere at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the fans have turned out in droves, painting a tapestry of passion and enthusiasm.

The roaring cheers and waving tricolours have become a defining soundtrack to the Rohit Sharma-led side’s stellar campaign, creating a palpable synergy between the team and its ardent supporters. The cricketing carnival has been a showcase of skill and strategy and a celebration of the unbreakable bond between a nation and its cricketing heroes.

As the five-time World Cup champions Australia gear up to take on Men in Blue in the final encounter of the 13th edition of World Cup, Aussie skipper Pat Cummins has shared his perspective on dealing with the enchanting home crowd.

Pat Cummins remark on handling Indian crowd

Cummins, discussing the Indian crowd, acknowledged its one-sided nature but expressed the thrill of silencing a passionate audience, highlighting his team’s aim to create such moments in the upcoming match.

“The crowd is obviously going to be very one sided, but in sport there is nothing more satisfying than hearing a big crowd go silent and that’s the aim for us tomorrow,” Cummins said, as quoted by the ICC.

Pat Cummins about the Narendra Modi Stadium

Cummins further noted the prevalence of dew in Ahmedabad and Narendra Modi Stadium compared to other places they played, acknowledging the importance of considering this factor in their preparations for the upcoming match. The right-arm pacer further suggested that the impact of dew might be particularly significant in the last quarter of the game.

“This city and venue seems to have more dew than a lot of the other places we play, that’s something to think about ahead of tomorrow, and it might only be the last quarter of the game.” the 30-year-old added.
