In a heartfelt announcement, South African cricketer Dwayne Pretorius bid farewell to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ahead of the IPL 2024 retention process. The all-rounder expressed gratitude for his time with the franchise, marking the end of his stint with the five-time IPL champions.

Pretorius took to social media to share his emotions, stating, “Thank you CSK. I would like to thank all the management, coaches, players, and fans for my time at CSK it was an awesome experience. All the best for season 2024.”
The South African all-rounder played a crucial role for CSK in various matches, contributing both with the bat and ball. The Chennai-based franchise bought him for his base price of INR 50 lakhs at the IPL 2022 mega auction. He was then retained for the next season of the league earlier this year. In the two editions, Pretorius played seven games for CSK, scoring 44 runs and claiming six wickets.
CSK fans thank Pretorius for his services
CSK fans reciprocated the sentiment, thanking Pretorius for his valuable contributions and wishing him the best for his future endeavours. The announcement garnered an outpouring of support and messages from fans across the globe.
