In the 25th match of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2023, Sydney Sixers opted to bowl first after winning the toss against Melbourne Renegades at the W.A.C.A. Ground, Perth.

The Renegades struggled to build momentum, posting a total of 104 runs in 19.5 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur‘s resilient knock of 47 runs was the lone standout performance for the Renegades, as Ellyse Perry‘s exceptional bowling led the charge for the Sixers, claiming career-best figures of 5/22.

In response, Sydney Sixers comfortably chased down the target with 27 balls to spare, registering 107 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 15.3 overs. Perry showcased her all-around skills, contributing significantly with the bat, scoring unbeaten 44 off 39 balls, and earlier with the white leader, taking five wickets.

Erin Burns (32) and Chloe Tryon (26 not out) also made noteworthy contributions to ensure a comprehensive victory for the Sixers.
