Brisbane Heat clashed with Melbourne Renegades in a high-stakes match of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2023 at Allan Border Field on Friday. The contest, filled with power-packed performances, ultimately saw Melbourne Renegades Women emerge victorious by a narrow margin.

Melbourne Renegades posted a competitive total of 169/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Key contributions came from Emma de Broughe (42 runs), Hayley Matthews (46 runs), and Harmanpreet Kaur (22 runs).

Nicola Hancock of Brisbane Heat shone with the ball, claiming four crucial wickets for 20 runs. All-rounder Grace Harris also contributed with the ball, picking up two wickets.

The Heat fell just short of the target, finishing their innings at 167/9.
