The Scorchers’ batting display was anchored by a stellar century from Beth Mooney, who played a sensational knock of 101 runs off 61 balls, including 17 fours. Chloe Piparo‘s brisk contribution of 22 not out off 16 balls also added valuable runs to the total.
Despite some economical bowling efforts from Sydney Thunder, particularly by Hannah Darlington who claimed two wickets, the Scorchers posted a formidable total of 159/4.
