In a dramatic turn of events during the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023, former Indian cricketers S Sreesanth and Gautam Gambhir engaged in a fiery on-field clash. This all happened during the Eliminator match between India Capitals and Gujarat Giants at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on Wednesday, December 6.

Seeing the situation getting worse, the on-field umpires and the Giants wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel intervened but the matter didn’t end there.

Gautam Gambhir labelled Sreesanth a ‘fixer’

After the end of the match, Sreesanth went live on Instagram and provided insights about the heated exchange that transpired on the field. Shockingly, he accused Gambhir not only of verbally abusing him but also of labelling him a “fixer.”

In the Instagram live session, Sreesanth stated, “Yesterday I didn’t say what he called me. He kept on… His PR is obviously… where he is from and the kind of money he can spend. I am just a normal person. I fight my battles alone with the support of my family, dear ones, and all of your support. Just wanted to say that he kept on calling me on live television, in front of the centre wicket. I have not said a single bad word. Not even used a single abusive word to him. I only said, ‘What are you saying?’ In fact, I kept laughing in a sarcastic way because he kept calling me ‘fixer, fixer, you are a fixer’. Forgive my language but ‘F**k off fixer’. This is the language he used in live. Even he told the umpires the same language when they were trying to control him.”
