Notably, India maintained their overnight score of 186/6 against England, opting to declare and setting a challenging target of 479 runs in Mumbai. The formidable total was achieved by India following an impressive performance in the initial innings of the match and an exceptional bowling display on Day 2.

India amassed 428 runs in the first innings, propelled by noteworthy half-centuries from Shubha Satheesh, Jemimah Rodrigues, Yastika Bhatia, and Deepti. Taking the ball in hand, the Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on the England batsmen, dismissing them for a mere 136 runs.

With a commanding lead in both batting and bowling, India asserted their dominance and secured a historic victory in the one-off Test against England by 347 runs. The win showcased the team’s depth and versatility, highlighting their ability to excel in all formats of the game.
