Bobat on RCB’s focus in IPL 2024 auction

Bobat emphasized the strategic priorities for the eminent bidding tussle, highlighting the importance of reinforcing the bowling unit. As per the latter, pacer Mohammad Siraj, regarded as their core asset, is set to receive additional support with a focus on acquiring both local and overseas bowling options.

The team management aims to strengthen its bowling arsenal to enhance its overall performance, particularly in the upcoming season. The former England Men’s performance director also expressed confidence in the pool of local spinners, anticipating their increased involvement and impactful contributions in the forthcoming matches.

“Mohammad Siraj is a core part of what we do, so supporting Siraj with some more bowling options, including overseas bowling options, is going to be a real priority for us moving forward. Then we have got a core of local spinners, which I think is quite strong. Some of them got some opportunities over the last year or two, and they might play more leading roles moving forward,” Bobat said, as quoted in a press release.
