Deccan Gladiators‘ hopes of winning third back-to-back Abu Dhabi T10 title were dashed by New York Strikers, who put in a fantastic bowling display to win the summit clash at Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Saturday.

Sunil Narine shines with the ball

Bowling first, New York Strikers performed outstandingly well, restricting the defending champions at 91/5 in their allotted 10 overs. Andre Russell was their top-scorer who remained unbeaten at 30 from 18 deliveries, including 2 fours and as many sixes.

Sunil Narine was the pick of the bowler for the Strikers, bagging a sensational 2-wicket haul while conceding only 6 runs in 2 overs. Muhammad Jawadullah (1/16), George Scrimshaw (1/23) and Akeal Hosein (1/16) all picked up one wicket each.
