Travis Head’s century helps Australia secure a substantial lead
The day began with Australia resuming their innings at 59/2, facing a challenging West Indies bowling attack. However, Head emerged as the hero, notching a sensational century (119), his seventh in Test cricket. With limited support from Usman Khawaja (45), Head played a crucial role in guiding Australia to a hard-fought lead against the visitors.

Josh Hazlewood wreaks havoc with the ball
As the West Indies took to the crease to erase the lead set by the Aussies, Josh Hazlewood wreaked havoc with the ball, picking up four wickets while the Windies managed to put only 19 runs on the board. One of Hazlewood’s victims was none other than West Indies skipper Brathwaite, and it was the brilliance of Head in the field that made the dismissal even more memorable.

Head’s moment of brilliance in the field
In the delivery that sent Brathwaite back to the pavilion, Hazlewood bowled a fullish ball angling in. Brathwaite, attempting a tentative flick off the inner half of the bat, found himself caught by the agile Head at short leg. Head’s reflexes were nothing short of extraordinary as he got low to his left, taking the catch just inches above the ground with both hands. The Australian players immediately mobbed Head in celebration, recognizing the significance of the brilliant catch that put Australia firmly on top.
The video of Head’s acrobatic catch soon circulated across social media, making fans and pundits alike marvelled at the sheer athleticism and quick thinking displayed by the Australian fielder.
