Having equalized the two-match Test series against South Africa on their tour, Team India has returned home and will now engage in a five-Test leg versus England. The India vs England Test series is set to commence in Hyderabad on January 25.
India are currently ranked second in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) points table, boasting a win percentage of 54.16, whereas England finds themselves in the eighth position with a win percentage of 15.
The last time when England registered a Test series victory in India was in 2012. Since suffering a 1-2 defeat against England 12 years ago, India have emerged victorious in 16 home Test series.
During their previous tour of India in 2021, England won the first Test of the four-match series in Chennai but lost the remaining three games with a heavy margin.
