In a bid to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss in the first Test, the Indian cricket team showcased a commanding performance on the ongoing Day 1 of the second Test in Cape Town against South Africa. During the fifth delivery of the 16th over, when Siraj dismissed Marco Jansen with an away-shaped delivery, the Cape Town DJ played the renowned Hindu mythological music, ‘Ram Siya Ram,’ as new batter Keshav Maharaj walked in.
Responding to the music, Kohli couldn’t resist himself and gestured as if he had a bow and arrow in his hand, symbolizing his aim. The Indian captain followed it up with a smile and made a prayer gesture, paying tribute to Lord Ram, celebrated across India and other parts of the world.
