The Super Giants found themselves in a precarious position early in their innings, losing pivotal players like Quinton de Kock, JJ Smuts, and Matthew Breetzke quickly. The rest of the batting lineup struggled, ultimately posting 108/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

Super Giants showcased exceptional bowling precision, led by the outstanding performance of Keshav Maharaj, who finished with figures of 2/17 in 4 overs. Reece Topley also made significant contributions, claiming three wickets for 19 runs in his four overs, while Richard Gleeson secured a couple of wickets for 22 runs in the same span. Smuts and Dwaine Pretorius each chipped in with a wicket.
