India clashed with Ireland in the 15th match of the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup 2024 on Thursday. Ireland won the toss and opted to bowl first.

India Innings

India U-19 boys set a formidable target with an impressive total of 301/7 in their allotted 50 overs. Musheer Khan emerged as the star performer, showcasing his batting prowess with a brilliant knock of 118 runs off 106 balls, including 9 fours and 4 sixes. Uday Saharan also contributed significantly, scoring 75 runs off 84 deliveries. The Irish bowlers faced a challenging task, with Oliver Riley being the most successful, claiming 3 wickets for 55 runs.

In response, the Irish side struggled to find their footing against a disciplined Indian bowling attack. The entire team was bowled out for just 100 runs in 29.4 overs. Naman Tiwari was the standout bowler for India, picking up 4 wickets for 53 runs. Saumy Pandey also a made valuable contribution, taking 3 wickets for 21 runs.

The result favoured India Under-19s, who emerged victorious by a convincing margin of 201 runs. Musheer Khan’s outstanding performance earned him the well-deserved title of Player of the Match.
