CSK and MI: Dominance in the IPL landscape

As teams gear up to battle it out on the field, fans eagerly await the electrifying matches, spectacular performances, and unforgettable moments that have become synonymous with the world’s premier T20 cricket league. Notably, the 10-team tournament has seen the dominance, particularly from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI), two of the most successful IPL franchises.

Delhi Capitals: The underdogs with untapped potential

Delhi Capitals, often touted as the underdogs in the IPL, possess a formidable lineup of players capable of turning the tide in their favor. Despite consistently showcasing immense potential and talent over the years, the franchise has yet to clinch the coveted IPL title, a fact that hasn’t escaped the notice of its passionate fan base. Irfan Pathan’s insights: Delhi Capitals’ bowling strengths

Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming season, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan has named his ideal bowling combination for the Capitals. Pathan believed that the team’s bowling unit is already strong but would greatly benefit if Anrich Nortje, a key fast bowler from South Africa, recovers from his fitness issues and is able to play.

Pathan expressed confidence in other bowlers like Mukesh Kumar, who has been representing India consistently, and Khaleel Ahmed, who has been active in domestic cricket and is expected to be in good form. Additionally, the former India all-rounder highlighted the presence of two skilled spinners, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel, in the Delhi squad, further bolstering their bowling strength.

“I don’t think they (Delhi Capitals) will face difficulties when it comes to their bowling. If Anrich Nortje gets fit than this bowling attack will appear great. Mukesh Kumar is expected to perform good as he has been playing for India throughout the year. Khaleel Ahmed will be fit and in rhythm as he has been playing domestic cricket. And they have two very good spinners in the form of Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel,” said Pathan on Star Sports.
