In his recent interview with Sudhir Chaudhary on Aaj Tak, Jurel’s father, an army veteran and a hero of the Kargil war, shed light on where he was during the momentous occasion. He revealed that he was at the Baanke Bihari mandir, immersed in prayer to Lord Krishna.

Nem Chand gets emotional while reminiscing son’s India debut

The emotional father expressed his immense pride in his son’s achievement and shared that he had told Jurel that once he returned, they would offer the debut cap at the feet of Lord Krishna.

“Ji Sapna hi ho gaya. Aisa lag nahi raha tha ki wo itna jaldi debut kar jayega. Mai baanke bihari ke mandir mein tha jis time usko cap mili, Aur maine yehi bol diya tha ki Dhruv beta ye cap ko mai Thakur Ji ke charano mein arpit karunga. (It’s like a dream has come true. It didn’t feel like he would debut so soon. I was at the Banke Bihari temple when he got the cap, and I told him, Dhruv, I will offer this cap at the feet of Thakur Ji),” said Jurel’s father Nem Chand.
