India in command on Day 2

The day began with Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav continuing their innings. England secured an early breakthrough as James Anderson dismissed nightwatchman Kuldeep for four. In the next over, Joe Root removed Jadeja at 112, reducing India to 331/7.

Debutant Jurel and Ravichandran Ashwin steadied the ship, forming an unbroken 57-run partnership for the eighth wicket. Jurel impressed in his maiden Test innings, while Ashwin remained composed. The duo ensured India didn’t lose more wickets before lunch, concluding the morning session at 388/7.
