Karachi Kings‘ dynamic all-rounder, Kieron Pollard, showcased his athleticism and cricketing prowess with a sensational boundary catch against Lahore Qalandars in the encounter of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 on Saturday (February 24).
Kieron Pollard’s unbelievable one-handed catch in PSL 2024
Stationed at long-off by captain Shan Masood during the latter stages of Qalandars’ innings, Pollard delivered a breathtaking display of fielding excellence. In the 13th over, Jahandad Khan of Qalandars aimed for a massive hit towards long-off. The ball seemed destined to clear the boundary ropes, but Pollard, with impeccable timing and athleticism, leaped into the air, extending his right arm to complete a gravity-defying catch right on the brink of the boundary line.

Strong comeback by Lahore Qalandars despite Pollard’s brilliance
Pollard’s brilliance handed Mir Hamza his second wicket of the evening, reducing Qalandars from 90/3 to 121/6. However, despite Pollard’s athleticism causing a middle-order collapse, the Qalandars, led by Sahibzada Farhan and George Linde, orchestrated a remarkable recovery. The duo plundered 54 runs off the last 26 balls, steering Qalandars to a strong finish. Farhan’s unbeaten 45-ball 72 and Linde’s quickfire 26 off 13 balls ensured that Lahore Qalandars concluded their innings on a high note, setting a challenging target of 176 runs for Karachi Kings to chase.
