In the second encounter of the three-match series, West Indies elected to bowl after winning the toss against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Australia Innings: 258/9 (50 Overs)

Australia’s batting performance was marked by notable contributions from Sean Abbott, who scored a brilliant 69 runs off 63 balls, featuring 1 four and 4 sixes. Other significant scorers included Matthew Short (41 runs off 55) and Cameron Green (33 runs off 41). The West Indies bowlers made a collective effort, with Gudakesh Motie taking 3 wickets, and Alzarri Joseph and Romario Shepherd picking up 2 wickets each.

West Indies Innings: 175 (43.3 Overs)

Walking into bat, West Indies had a challenging task ahead. The Men in Maroon’s batting efforts were led by Keacy Carty (40 runs off 51) and Shai Hope (29 runs off 65), but the team couldn’t withstand the pressure from the Australian bowling attack.
