In a press release issued by the Gujarat management, it was confirmed that the Australian superstar Beth Mooney will lead the team in the WPL 2024 season. Mooney, a seasoned campaigner and a consistent performer with the bat, brings a wealth of experience to the Gujarat side. Her exceptional batting skills and astute captaincy make her a formidable force on the field.

Assisting Mooney in her leadership duties will be India’s Sneh Rana, who has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Gujarat Giants. Sneh, known for her all-round abilities and consistent performances, adds strength to the team’s leadership core. With her tactical acumen and ability to inspire her teammates, Sneh is set to play a crucial role in guiding the team towards success in the WPL 2024 campaign.

Notably, Mooney was named Gujarat captain for the inaugural season as well but suffered an injury in the first game and could not take further part in the competition. Sneh had led the side in her absence.
