Bollywood actress Preity Zinta owned-Punjab Kings (PBKS) clashed with Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Saturday, March 23.

Winning the toss, PBKS elected to bowl first, putting DC into bat. The Delhi side posted a competitive total of 174/9 in their allotted 20 overs. David Warner, Mitchell Marsh and Shai Hope made significant contributions with the bat, scoring 29, 20 and 33 runs respectively. However, it was Abishek Porel‘s explosive cameo of 32 runs off just 10 deliveries that propelled DC to a challenging total. Among the bowlers, Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel starred for Punjab, picking up two wickets each.

In response, PBKS chased down the target with four wickets in hand, finishing the game at 177/6 in 19.2 overs. Sam Curran was the star performer for the Kings, smashing an impressive 63 runs off 47 deliveries, guiding his team to victory. Liam Livingstone‘s quickfire 38 runs also played a crucial role in the successful run chase.

Delhi bowlers put up a spirited effort, with Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav claiming two wickets each. However, their efforts weren’t enough to stop Punjab from registering a win.
