In anticipation of the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are gearing up for a fiercely contested three-match T20 International (T20I) series. With both teams looking to fine-tune their skills and strategies, cricket fans are in for an exhilarating showdown.

Captains and squad updates

Najmul Hossain Shanto will lead the Bangladesh side in the T20I leg of the series. On the Sri Lankan side, Charith Asalanka will take charge for the first two matches, with regular skipper Wanindu Hasaranga set to return for the final T20I. Hasaranga’s absence in the initial games stems from a suspension following his public criticism of umpiring decisions during the last T20I against Afghanistan.
