Amidst the captivating fervor of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, cricket enthusiasts find themselves thoroughly immersed. Adding to their excitement, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently unveiled the complete schedule for the tournament. It is worth mentioning that Initially, only the schedule for the first leg of the IPL 2024 was announced due to uncertainty surrounding the dates of the Lok Sabha elections in India and the polling venues.

The second phase is set to kick off on April 8, with a thrilling match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Chepauk stadium. This phase will feature a total of 11 double-header days, promising action-packed excitement for fans. Additionally, BCCI’s press release accompanying the announcement of the second phase of IPL has highlighted several key points about the venues.

Change in venues of home matches for DC, PBKS and RR

One of the key highlights of the second phase is the allocation of venues for certain teams, as outlined in the BCCI’s press release. The Delhi Capitals (DC), for instance, will play all their remaining home matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi, following their decision to host their initial two home matches in Visakhapatnam. This move is sure to ignite the passion of Delhi’s cricket enthusiasts, who will rally behind their beloved team in full force.

Similarly, the Punjab Kings (PBKS) will culminate their home campaign amidst the breathtaking vistas of the picturesque Dharamsala stadium. With matches against formidable opponents like the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), cricket fans in Dharamsala are in for a thrilling spectacle. Notably, Punjab Kings played their first match of the tournament at the newly inaugurated Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh.

Meanwhile, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) have opted for a second home venue in Guwahati, where they will host their final two matches in Assam.

Adding to the excitement, the electrifying Qualifier 1 clash and the thrilling Eliminator will take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, the world’s largest cricket stadium. Chennai to host Qualifier 2 and Final

However, it is the grand finale that promises to be the crowning moment of IPL 2024. Mirroring the season opener, the Qualifier 2, and the grand finale will be hosted in Chennai, the hallowed home turf of the reigning champions, Chennai Super Kings. The iconic MA Chidambaram Stadium will witness history in the making as the best teams battle it out for ultimate supremacy on Sunday, May 26th.
