Dona Ganguly, wife of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, recently appeared on the Bengali television show ‘Didi No. 1,’ hosted by actress Rachana Banerjee. During the show, she threw light on the various aspects of her life and relationship with childhood friend and husband, Sourav.
Anecdotes and possessiveness:
Dona addressed anecdotes shared by her husband on his television show ‘Dadagiri,’ where he often talks about their relationship. She stated that while some stories are true, others are meant only for entertainment purpose.
“He (Sourav) knows what will increase the TRP, and he says exactly those. Whatever he says, not all the things are true. But he knows what he has to say to satisfy the audience,” Dona was quoted as saying on the show.
The 47-year-old also acknowledged Sourav’s protectiveness, which she described as “possessive.” She clarified that while her husband sometimes provides suggestions on her attire, she ultimately makes the final choices.
“Yes, he is very possessive. What Saree I will wear, where should I wear, he often makes those choices for me. Even the Saree I am wearing here is of his choice,” added Dona.
