CSK’s Daryl Mitchell delivered a well-pitched ball to GT’s Vijay Shankar, who attempted a straight drive but only managed to edge the delivery. In a split-second reaction, Dhoni, stationed behind the stumps, lunged to his right, defying age with his lightning reflexes, and plucked the ball out of thin air, sending Shankar back to the pavilion. The crowd at the Chepauk stadium erupted in joy witnessing Dhoni’s age-defying brilliance on the field.
